doing statements at w*rk.....and the envelopes for those statements need licking and sticking

You have my sincere empathy---I hated that kind of w*rk. Luckily, the office canteen served beer and schnapps all day.
One little suggestion:
In the second verse, perhaps 'rally' would be better than 'tally'...?
