I know what you mean. What you say is true about McDonald's, and about shopping malls, and health clubs, sports grounds and holiday resorts, and many other places of a similar kind.

I read this expecting it to be a polemic about some kind of corporate evil. There are a lot of tiresome manifestos in AWW these days. I was pleasantly surprised.

All these places might belong to corporations, but before that they're places where people meet. Thanks for reminding us in this charming style.

This did surprise me, which is a good thing. Just as a matter of interest, have you been able to maintain a reasonable weight and general health on this diet? I ask because there is a quite well known documentary around at the moment, about a gentleman who attempted to live on fast food for a month, accepting a supersize offer whenever proposed, and what this did to his cholestorol level and other health indicators.

Thank you all for your kind reply. My aim was with this article only to make those kids,middle and very advenced age people HAPPY who work there. ( No discrimination there!)smiley - magic

I'd like to call your attention to one aspect: IT IS NOT WHAT YOU EAT, BUT
H O W M U C H YOU EAT! Simple math to count calories.smiley - coolsmiley - smiley

In US the Food and Drug Administration = FDA keeps very strict rules about the content of any product of food offered for sale. On packaging the nutrition content has to be declared. At restaurants the owner has to tell exactly what is it in the food and how is it made to any inquiry!

McDonald's made lot of changes and on your request you can get low cal salads without fatty dessings, you can ask to hold anything you don't want to eat ( butter, salt, syrup etc.) They issued a long list of printed sheet, which is on your tray to study what is that you can or may eat. ( The tray paper subject is changed every day)

If you eat occasionally sugar and fat rich food, will not make any difference ( specially if you void the next meal) but if you eat regularly the same place: you have to count calories! I gave up french frys, because the thin potato slices absorbs too much fat!
The portion I eat it is very small and drinking a lot of crystal clear (well) water--- it is going to fill you up that your hunger will go away--- for a while. smiley - biggrin

I am a very busy person, to eat one meal at McDonald's saves me lot of time and believe me : money too.

My expense for a lunch is between 2-3 Dollars. What I eat: McChicken sandwich = 1 dollar and yogurt parfait with strawberries an other 1 dollar. I usually bring my own drink or have a cup of decaf. coffee. or ask for skim milk at lunch time.

There is Chicken Fajita, also Fish sandwich I like, can ask for skim milk instead half and half. And they have here a selection of very tasty soups too. In the cold winter comes really handy.

Finally the daily exersice! In America distances are very big. If you want to walk it can take so much time to get "there", that you run out of time. The automobil or buses, subways take your exercise away. But you can set a schedul to reserve an hour every day to move your body in every direction.

I go on the scale EVERY DAY! That is what makes my menu daily! smiley - biggrin
