My sister was actually chased once by a crazy camel, which gave me the idea for the guide entry.
Camel attacks are usually underestimated, sometimes even regarded as "another crazy story". If this guide helps even one person deal with a camel attack, I will have fulfilled my purpose.

You're welcome!
I am glad to know that I've managed to help somebody... somewhere, someone now knows how to recognize and treat a camel attack.
Only doing my job...

What about the possibility of a projectile attack - ie the infamous camel gob - what can we do to avoid that?

Hmm, good question... I'll have to check my sources on this one. In the meanwhile, just keep running.

Hi all,
just read this and thoroughly enjoyed it, ! Clearly essential advice for any self-respecting citizen of the world we live in today.
So what should you do if the attacking beast turns out to be a moose after all?

RE camel gob - I'm reliably informed that camels will happily drink from bottles - cola, whatever, as long as it is in a bottle. They also will chew gum (or suck boiled sweets), rather messily, but for a long time. Carrying a bottled drink or a packet of gum might be a good idea if you fear came attacks. Then, before you start running, you could give them a drink, some gum or a boiled sweet to occupy their mouths and forestall the dreaded gob attack. One wonders if this would work against that other notable spitter the llama.

This is lovely.
You do know that, if the statistic is true, then in the good old bad old days this would have been a shoe-in for the Edited Guide? As it is, I suggest a link to the Edited Entry on "The Ultimate Martial Art" - A649749.

Oh! You are here! *bounces up and down with excitement*
I am very torn you know, because as a Miner and Polisher I crave this for the UnderGuide, but I am forced to say that in the good old bad old days the Edited Guide would have snapped this up.
Glad you like the link.

Hello! I'm here briefly, just pretending to do coursework right now but will actually sit down and write soon...
Added the link, thanks again, this really fits!
Oh, and thanks saying you want this for the UnderGuide too, go ahead as far as I'm concerned - I never even thought about EG really, that's why I didn't put it on Peer Review. I guess as dear old Mr. Zimmerman said, the Times They Are A-changin'... If you wanna think about this take your time, I won't be around most summer so I won't know what's going on anyway *shrug*.
