My sister was actually chased once by a crazy camel, which gave me the idea for the guide entry.
Camel attacks are usually underestimated, sometimes even regarded as "another crazy story". If this guide helps even one person deal with a camel attack, I will have fulfilled my purpose.

What about the possibility of a projectile attack - ie the infamous camel gob - what can we do to avoid that?

RE camel gob - I'm reliably informed that camels will happily drink from bottles - cola, whatever, as long as it is in a bottle. They also will chew gum (or suck boiled sweets), rather messily, but for a long time. Carrying a bottled drink or a packet of gum might be a good idea if you fear came attacks. Then, before you start running, you could give them a drink, some gum or a boiled sweet to occupy their mouths and forestall the dreaded gob attack. One wonders if this would work against that other notable spitter the llama.

Oh, and thanks saying you want this for the UnderGuide too, go ahead as far as I'm concerned - I never even thought about EG really, that's why I didn't put it on Peer Review.
