I would like to see this one on the Front Page. Lilithcookie died a while ago, but this entry is too good not to be seen by more people.

What an interesting subject - well written too. smiley - smiley

I like the simple way this is outlined. Fun to read.

Nice start, but I think that what you are ultimately looking for is water power. Waterwheels have been in use longer than cuckoo clocks, and they only need a spring thaw to get them going.
(Don't know what you'd do during winter months? Maybe cows could turn the millstone)
Gearing for both, I admit, would be tricky, unless you worked in a mill!

A few small techs to be fixed up and this would be great.

I'm surprised nothing ever happened with this.

Just a bump for the miners on the off-chance they see this and like it. I liked it when it was put in and like it now.

Me too Jodan. There was so much brahougha about 'Dancing on Tables' that this one got overlooked, but in some ways I think it is better.

I still miss Lilithcookie. She was good for us. Though she'd have probably scorned a smiley - rose I still like to leave her one.

No doubt this one got my attention, and glad I am too. The strange thing about this is that there was just such a device as the crank driven personal "massager" , as well as several other less industrial models. These date back to the victorian era as this was the beginning of the new age in metalurgy (for the gears and such), though phallic objects (with the obvious intended uses) have been found dating as far back as the stone age. Horn, bone, wood and stone were all utilized for the construction of said self pleasure impliments, though actual shapes and sizes vary.

Hmmm, maybe the truely strange thing is that I'm a fellow who knows too much of such gagetssmiley - yikes! Oh well, gotta know the gear if you want to play the game, and I take my gameing seriously smiley - winkeye.

Spynxxx...

...looks like you might be just the researcher to 'pick up the ball' (you should pardon the expression) on this one! Up for it?

I'm afraid that a comprehensive guide to 'Toys' would be , though useful, a complete waste as it could never pass muster with the powers that be. If they balk at such innocuous subjects as video recording then a subject such as this doesn't stand a snowball's chance smiley - sadface.

Besides, it's so much more interesting when told from a woman's point of...view smiley - tongueout.
