You been on yer hols, sniffin' around the ex-pat slappers, Hound? Or just dreaming of Corfu coppers in the Blighty heatwave?
I think the dialogue works well, . Love teh title too, very poetic!

Thanks Spiff...fraid so. Great girls though. The original Shirley valentines who went to Corfu in the early seventies in search of sun sea sand and sex...now thirty years on they're saddled with Spiros and two point four children. Amazingly they are all still friends and are unpardonably rude to each other as only true friends may be. Second part is a neighbour...same s*** different location and I have aged her a bit.
Wolf did help me with the title too (thanks Wolf).
Take care
boots (off to search for old radio plays to rehash...Spiff likes the dialogue game...praise indeed!)

I'm not interrupting, honest.
They weren't my socks, honest.
I'm not imagining the slightest resemblance between the wizzened harpies in your piece and any other company you might have been keeping recently, honest.
This isn't my shovel either, honest.

It must be nice to be so at ease with yourself, like these ladies. This is good boots - is there a next one?

Boots Posted Aug 30, 2003
I hope so wild rose...but I think I should do some real work...not just be a lazy story teller!
Thanks for popping by and hope things are getting better for you.

It was worth the wait, boots. Read it over the weekend but BT wouldn't let me post when I tried to. It's still grudgingly slow now.

BT's a bit of a bitch at the moment. Couldn't log on at all on sunday.
Quite like this genre... think I am going to explore for a while and try and work on 'why women talk like this' and 'do men'? Thought I'd play with different problems and odd situations and locations for a while and see where it leads. I think it could be interesting and suspect a lot of deeper problems could surface and head towards resolution...or not. Both conversations were based on RL and, humour aside, all four protagonists were trying to reach out for help with their issues. 'The psyche of the sit com?' who knows, will see where it leads me. Went to Regents park tonight to see 'High Society'...Huge fun...review pending!
Take care and tap soon

Hey, that sounds good. The ideas I mean, don't know about Regents Park. I suspect men do sometimes, but much less. I think the humour sometimes gets in the way of the resolution. In RL I mean.
I have been left , on occasion, not to mention
, by the conversations that go on between the cubicles in the swimming baths changing rooms...
Well I'm off , before I fall off
Good night Boots, talk later. BT willing.

Here I am reading through some backlog, and I start reading this. Why did it not surprise me to find out it was YOU again!! .
Go on, see if you can guess what I thought of it?
You do a mean dialogue, all heat and torpor. Good God, girl, is there nothing you can't do. Visit me at jealousscriptwriters.org.
So I'm bumping you, as this deserves to join the others as the latest craze to sweep the AWW.
All hail the hound.
Tell me, have you ever caught a rabbit? See if you can guess where this could lead...
Fatty, furious with your abilities.
DISCLAIMER: jealousscriptwriters.org exploded several minutes ago in a frenzy of activity. Although most limbs have been discovered and re-attatched, not all of them went to the right places. I type now with an ageing Glasweigian leg, and the third arm of a small bee.

Thanks Lizard. Rabbits? What's this with rabbits? I can't even catch a cold. Thanks to Speckly too for her comments on ww4, really must stop reading posts and finish writing of post. Not easy this discipline lark.
