Thanks, Anna- a total surprise as I hadn't looked in for weeks, and find a message just 2 hour old ! I will pay more attention in future

As you can probably see, I have choped and changed it to follow the guidelines a bit more closely, and left out the second half- a shame as I thought it was the more inspired part, but not really in context.
Look forward to hearing an opinion...

Is it meant to be a bit 'blank verse' like? You know: there are line breaks in the middle of sentences and things...

Might find it a bit easier on the eyes with a few more paragraph breaks.

It is a shame that Akalon has not posted since Mar 31, 2003. This entry has a lot going for it, it is recognisably about the part of Hamburg in which I was living in 2000 for a start, though not uniquely about it. And I clearly had an awful lot more fun there than Akalon did.
I vote it stays here for a while.
