Can you recommend your own articles? I am the first to do this? Can you recommend an article that has already been submitted?
The only problem I see with the scout system, is that the scouts are likely to only go looking for things they know about and maybe miss out a lot of smaller issues?

AFAIK (as far as I know), the already submitted articles -- that is, articles submitted under the now arcane submittal system (!), will be finished through that system.
New articles, on the other hand, go through the peer review system.
And yes, you can suggest your own stuff (after all, you're the first to know how good it is ) as well as, naturally, anybody else's.
(Proof? I just did it, as you saw...)

I presume that this entry was rejected under the old system...
There are a number of entries on Copenhagen around. Their authors have been directed here - perhaps together you can make a collaboration of it...

Most of Lucinda's list above seems not to have been reactivated after Rubert
I'd love to have a look at them once they are/were/can be...
As for OB1's overall Copenhagen entry, I think it contains quite a few good points. I might make the list of individual places more condensed and "sharp" (difficult, I know!) and maybe also include a few more general guidelines (such as where to go for info, etc).
Med venlig hilsen (best regards),

Anybody interested in finishing this entry can simply ask Peta (via the Moderation Helpdesk) to un-hide any sources which are deemed necessary!
For the meantime, do I get a Scout seconding a move to the Writing Workshop?

I don't think the original authors for this article - nor the Copenhagen buses one - is doing much about anything... So I'd say go ahead...

Hi Santragenious
The Workshop isn't meant as a storage facility for shipwrecked entries! Everybody is encouraged to take up the pieces and finish them - won't you be willing to do it?
A357699 Copenhagen
Santragenius V Posted Jun 23, 2001
Willing, most certainly !
Finding the time might be harder, though -- I have at least one shipwrecked entry of my own on my HD at the moment...
But let's put it up for grabs - I might do something or at least try to support whoever does (since I am local...)

to you, too...
Would there be a way to check when the original authors of these logged in? OB1 truly seems retired - his (I think it was) space hasn't been activated since Rubert, and HT hasn't uttered anything for ages, even though his space is up...
My feeling is that none of them hangs much around anymore - and as I also think the articles has their merits, I think that it's a good idea to gently give them a push onwards...

Editorial Note: This Conversation has been moved to the new 'Flea Market' Forum.
This is where we move any Peer Review, Writing Workshop or Alternative Writing Workshop Conversations where the original author has *not* posted to h2g2 for three months. This prevents the active Review Forums from clogging up with dormant entries, but in the Flea Market they can be picked up by others and polished off.

Unfortunately this is another Entry with (probably) lots of outdated information about bars, cafes, etc

A357699 - Copenhagen
The bars, cafes bit probably is outdated, but h2g2 does need a decenet article on the city, and the bits which are probably still relevant out number the sections to be deleted and removed.
And this article mentions that in Copenhagen there is/was a genuine Scottish pub with a Moose head that Moves! What could be more authentic than that?
