I think your Hickory entry has the makings of a great Edited guide entry, if you do decide to work on it. I think that genuine enthusiasm always shines through!
Just checking, I found that my horticultural encyclopaedia has a picture of you: Carya ovata, the shag-bark Hickory, and a very fine tree it is too. You should join Amy the Ant's Natural History Museum - she accepts any plants who can present their offical Latin names. It's at
