It's odd how relationships are often defined by food. 
When my mother was taken to hospital after having a heart attack, one poignant detail was that she left a big bowl of Seville oranges which she was cutting up for marmalade.

This is very nice.
I'm not a fan of haiku - a flash of memory reminds me of a classful of us making mock on a blackboard - but this one hits the spot.
I think because it tells a tale with a couple of brushstrokes.
