Loonytunes - why the name change?

I came across a wonderful Pink Panther and posted him on my page.

DD and I have just been writing about him on the cartoon page we are going to release at the weekend.

Scratches head. Is this a coincidence or a conspiracy. Spooky things are afoot. Gets out crystal ball. Holds seance with Peter Sellers. Inspector Clausteau is on the case.

Well that will get it solved quickly then? You sound like a bit of a cartoon fan (I don't know what gives that impression?) so would you like to take a sneak preview of what we are trying to do and see if you have anything to add?

A masterly effort. Top marks. Maybe you could add a piece about Peter Sellers to the Pink Panther? Just a thought. I looked at the Panther's related link. Groovy music. Do you know a way I could put the music on my page. My all time favourite cartoom character is Top Cat. Maybe an article on him and the gang?

I have some info on that very topic but the idea is that you could do write it and we will add it and give you credit - a bit like the curry and slang fora!

I don't know if my current knowledge is good enough. It was on TV here years ago and my brain cells just keep falling out my ears. Any ideas on the music?

I found out about them all from the internet - there is a site at http://www.dfcom.freeserve.co.uk/hbw/topcat but you may be able to find others. One little snippet of infomation though- over here the name was changed to Boss Cat even though the titles and music stayed the same, because Top Cat is a brand of cat food and the BBC is not allowed to advertise!
I know the tune but can't remember the words beyond "Top Cat!"
