Hmm.. A fan club for Marvin... Marvin is... depressingly interesting, of course, but... gee.. I dunno... a 'fan'? ... Wouldn't that imply interest? ... A trait I'm sure Marvin would detest.... Uhm... Such a quandry... I'm so depressed...

Indeeed a situation that needs resolving. But surely any true fan would want Marvin to be happy? And as everyone (apart from the depressed) knows happiness comes with friendship (Yes, I am applying for a job at Butlin's). So why not join if it makes Marvin more depressed then in a way he'll be happier, and if it makes him feel better then the world'll be a better place and we may finally find out the Ultimate Question which only Marvin knew the answer to.

That's easy.. Only Marvin could unlock the hatch.
