Greetings, Wolf.
I'm a Pom currently living and working in Canberra, and would be happy to contribute to your Canberra Research HQ. From your list, I could do something on the National Library and/or Gininderra Falls. I could also do something on the Canberra Hospital (not much of a monument or anything, I know, but an important public building nevertheless). Also, I thought a piece on bookshops in Canberra might be useful.
BTW, the offroad thing is called (I think) the FAI Rally of Canberra. But I've only ever seen it on TV, so if I did an entry it wouldn't really smack of authenticity.

I'll put you down for the Library, Ginnindera Falls and Canberra Hospital. If you find they're all too much I can just put any or all up for 'reassigning' again.

*sigh*Teach me not to do this when it's late after a long week. I love the idea of the bookshop review too. In theory I'd be the best one to do that cause I /love/ books. Lately however, I've missed out cause I've been too busy. Then I find my favourite bookstore closed and... (whinge, moan, mutter complain)...
However....I'll stick in an entry for that too.
