Hello,
It looks like all information is collected in the Entry. However, I think that it could use some polishing.
a) For example: "Hello to all you interested people. Here is a guide to give you step by step instructions on how to build a model kit. (N.B This is for general model kits, not wargames)."
This reads like a letter, maybe a rephrasing to "This Entry is for all people interested in building model kits. It will provide instructions... Please note that this Entry covers general model kits, such as __ADD EXAMPLE HERE___. Special model kits such as wargame figures can be assembled in similar ways using similar techniques, but might also require a different knack."
b) The Mention of Beatties is not necessary, I think. In Brazil and in Germany we don't have this store. Much rather, you could mention that well-assorted warehouses usually also have model kits and some of the paraphernalia, and that there are also many specialized stores with really nifty, professional stuff.
c) The skill rating... Is that international?
d) I love that part: "which one person once said 'insane and contains submicroscopic peices that you can snort'."
e) "There are also lots of models to choose from." Seems obvious. Maybe a description of what the models are earlier in the text would be in order. I mean one or two sentences, explaining that the most popular models are ships, planes and cars (boy's toys) and usually military.
f) "Cement is a lot better than liquid..." Dunno if it is a 'lot' better. It took me a while, but I got used to superglue, which is a lot more fluid.
g) The Entry covers the painting and finishing off part in more detail than the actual 'building' part.
Minor comments: a) Some people prefer to build small elements first, e.g. the landing gear, then painting them *before* assembling them to the model. This is opposed to building everything up and then painting, which is what your Entry suggests. b) Some models have moving mechanisms (like the ailerons, landing gear, etc.) which are quite difficult to assemble, lubricating is the key to success!
I really like the skeleton and the general topic of this Entry, I think the most important ideas are there already, but I do think it needs polishing!
Good luck!

Gaz,
This here entry has been about for ages and is OOZING potential. If you can't find the time to polish it up why not try it as a Collaborative Entry, I'm sure there's others (not only myself) who'd love to help and add their bits and bobs to get this into the EG (as it certainly deserves too, not enough of us poor maligned model makers about you see..."You make models out of petroleum based materials? ACK, don't you think of the environment?!" sheesh, it's a harmless HOBBY...) Let us know what you'd like to do

That sounds like a good idea. And thanks HELL. I would like to make it a collabarative entry, how do you do that?

OK... So, one of the collaborators is going to be the editor. In that case this is going to be you, probably. Only one person can tweak with an Entry at a time. So, the Editor is the guy who does all the writing stuff.
The other collborators post to a thread somewhere (usually underneath the Entry itself) and give you the passages they want to have included and other comments. Like: Hye, why don't you include this passage in the first section after the third para:
"blahblahblahblöah"
Your job then is to take the stuff and copy-paste it into the Entry. You should then add the researcher as a co-author in the proper window, in the Editing page...
If you don't know how to do it, I could set it up with me as the Editor - but beware I am lazy, and have a lot of other stuff to do... So if you want me to do that just say something.
Ah, another thing. If you feel like you're going to mess around with that Entry for a little while (me Editing, or you), it would be probably better to withdraw this thread from Peer Review first, to keep everything oprganized and tidy.
If you have more questions just scream!

Right. I will stay the editor. Open a thread by leaving a personal message to me. I will then post the entry in ML on the posting as well.
Any thing need putting in I will sort and you could just write what you think.

Hmmm... Here's a better idea.
1. You remove this thread from PR.
2. Submit the Entry to the Collaborative Workshop. (This will start a thread, in which anyone can jump in and give suggestions.) You make the necessary changes on this Entry. What do you think?
