These are the evil creation of record executives, to generate money from the teenage record buying market. They are generally all of the one sex (Spice Girls, Take That, Boyzone etc) or choreographed monkeys (Steps, S-Club 7). The general idea is to develop a look, models etc with no musical background are high on the list of desireable components. If one of the poor unfortunates does end up having some talent it is an unexpected bonus for record company executive, if they can hold on to the artist, (unlike the George Michael and Sony fiasco). The end result is a record chart where any musical ability is a disadvantage surely the root of all evil.

would agree mostly, but then I know Will dont I. hmm... got me thinking though hon... I'll tell you if they have a personality or not after Sat night...
