Hi Fizzy - I love this section - an amazing romp through the complex private lives of the literary. It almost needs a diagram!

Nitpicks:

Unless you meant it as a witty variant, it should be cause célèbre. In fact, can a person be a cause célèbre? It's usually attributed to an issue.

Thanks again Icy, I've fixed everything except the cause celebre - for one reason I can't do those little accents. The other thing is he was a bit of a *issue* he was almost a charity case - anti-god, anti-marriage, anti-establishment, apparently lived most of his life on handouts from supporters like Percy who hung on his every word.

What do you think, is there a better way to describe him.
