I could not agree more with this entry. This is a problem which occurs everytime some radio station suggests a "Top 100 of all time" survey etc. The current hits, by the current artists are always over-emphasised. A possible solution would be to exclude all songs "newer" than 5 years. This would be unfair on current artists but would create a far more realistic survey. Older songs by current artists worthy of being mentioned would be included eg. U2's older music, but it would eliminate the millions of 15 year olds screaming "Britney rulz", and destroying what might be a representative survey.
