Er... sorry about this but I think we Have not cover UK Sovereign Base Areas
These are British military base areas located in countries that were once part of the British Empire but which were retained by the UK and not handed over when those countries attained independence.
There were some in Eire between 1922 & 1938 and currently there are two in in Cyprus (Akrotiri and Dhekelia). These are not part of the UK but are a UK overseas territory with an Administrator appointed by the Crown who reports to the MOD.
some info on the EU angle (because of Cyprus joining the EU soon)

From British Overseas Territories Act 2002
"including the decision that they should be known as 'overseas territories' in place of outdated terms such as 'dependent territories' or 'colonies'"
"Under section 5 of the 1981 Act BDTC from Gibraltar are, upon application, entitled to be registered as British citizens. The British Nationality (Falkland Islands) Act 1983 granted British citizenship to BDTC from the Falkland Islands. Accordingly many BDTC from Gibraltar and the Falklands also possess British citizenship, and as British citizens they have the right of abode in the United Kingdom. Without disturbing these arrangements, the White Paper determined that British citizenship, and with it the right of abode, should be granted to BDTC of most other territories. In accordance with the White Paper, the Act excludes BDTC connected with the Sovereign Base Areas in Cyprus, because of the special position of this territory as a military base."

Here are some nitpicks.
Change all "double quotes" to 'single quotes'.
confused about? --> confused about.
problem, really is --> problem, really, is
However it is defined there are --> However it is defined, there are
England, instead --> England; instead
and has no separate legal or other system like Scotland. --> and, unlike Scotland, has no separate legal or other system.
referenda --> referendums
republic of Ireland --> Republic of Ireland
Crowns authority --> Crown's authority
self-governing, they are --> self-governing; they are
with respect the administration --> with respect to the administration
Irish Republic --> Republic of Ireland

"Jersey-Angelesy: I seem to remember that certain of the Crown Dependencies don't have administration for all of the things one would expect a sovereign nation to have, in particular, the Bureau D'Etranger from Jersey also operates on Angelesy. Was I wrong?"
Yes. Anglesey (or Ynys Môn) is the island county off the north west coast of Wales.

saw the bases thing - not sure about inclusion are they considered in the same way as all countries embassies are? In which case does including add anything that people may be confused about? Then do you add those parts of the UK that have foreign bases on them (do the US have any air bases left in the UK? or were these different)
Dunno in short

there differnt 'cos they are UK Overseas Territory, not leased or rented, we are not guests, when you enter a Sovereign Base you are leaving one nation & entering another.

"do the US have any air bases in the UK"
The US never had any air bases in UK, however it did (& still does) have the use of a number of RAF bases in the UK.
