Yes, Nick, it my tagline is lovely (and at least it makes sense) - check F1900573?thread=3331401 if you would like a specific explanation. Having a real life as well is sooo nice at times... but let's not get personal, eh?
Anyway, the implication of your post is that Subs and the Italics do whatever they like without caring in the slightest whatsoever what the author thinks.
'you know the sub-eds often do what they wish anyway. (Oft times with any consultations)'
No, we don't. We have a series of guidelines Writing-Guidelines and a Guide ML Guide <./>SubEditors-GuideML</.>, as well as a guide to English Usage A266131 amongst others. We also have <./>Subeditors-Code</.> and <./>Feedback-Editorial</.> if there are any mistakes that creep in, or if one wishes to complain about how one's Entry has been handled.
See, I don't do 'what I wish'; I do what is asked of me as a volunteer.
'In any case, I've commented on the entry as to details I thought fit. And so I wish every success to Venus in having her work accepted in good time.'
Well, you understand Peer Review, if nothing else.

Can we now get back to reviewing the article please
I'm not very green fingered Venus, but I did enjoy reading that entry.
I'm sure the Sub-Ed will keep you fully informed when the time comes
lil xx

Just as a BTW, thank you B'Elana for post #39. 'Overwinter' was one niggle I had, but it proves to be yet another gardening term I was ignorant of.
Aside from the mental images I will retain from another link (shudders at the larvae) I think it all flows very well.

Does anyone suppose this one has been around long enough for a Scout to give it a 'nod'? As it stands, it looks pretty good to me.

This has certainly been around long enough, is both informative and interesting, and has remained blessedly concise.
Also, the author has rightly rejected SOMEBODY's idea of beating the little insects with tiny pooh sticks (my interpretation of the suggested weapon) - so that's a good thing.
I'd say IF a scout were around they ought to give it a nod - just my opinion.

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.
If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.
Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

For interested parties, the soon-to-be-edited entry is here: A13857014
I have removed the unedited link to Boston.
I have added a footnote to explain "overwinter"
I have started a new conversation thread at Venus' PS to discuss the editing
