Having the Last Word
Geggs Posted Feb 25, 2003
I get the impression that this is a thread that will never end. Because no one will want to admit that someone else on-site is cleverer. And if it does end then the last poster is, be definition, the cleverest.
Of course, if someone like Stephen Hawking decided to post here he could probably finish it.

This is the last word on the matter.

I'd listen to the prof if I were you- that guy knows what he's talking about. How can anyone on this thread claim to be cleverer than Professor Stephen Hawking?

I'm sure he'd post another comment just to finish it, but I've forgotten the password I used to log him on

not everyone thinks hawking is the cleverest person on the planet. in fact there are some who are spectactularly unimpressed by that title.

oh. i was hoping to provoke a fierce and combative debate about the relative merits of hawking and science based intelligence.
because i find i can often get the last word in an argument
(though i also stand by my statment about hawking even if i wasn't trying to provoke an argument)
maybe i'm just not good at *starting* arguments...
