Confusion reigns
Kea posted << antonym ... (1) Talpidae shed these to make trews >>, which means use the last letter only , *m* (hopefully Molsekins is correct )
But then I've made a mistake ...
My post *should* have had a (3) [ not a (4), ]
So you are looking for an anagram from << Not to be worn with Latin tunics >> that starts with the last (3) letters of Moleskins : *ins*
[ not *kins* ]
Does that make sense ???

Six7s m'dear old trout, you've been spending far too much time in those anagram threads. It is amazing how your mind has been bent to that ..uhm..bent. But (you knew there'd be a 'but' ) some of us (well me) can never be sure how much of your clue is anagrammatical.
In the current case, should we be working with just the letters of 'Latin tunics' or all of the words. I do appreciate that the 'clue' does have other properties such as the suggestion that this is an item that is 'worn' and apparently in this case 'should not be worn', but perhaps if you put the anagram-significant letters in caps then slugs like myself wouldn't feel overwhelmed trying to juggle a 26 letter anagram.
But, if in fact all 26 letters are involved in the anagram, then I reiterate my suggestion that you have been spending far too much time thinking with a shuffled deck and presume too much from those of us who merely want to play alpha-dominoes.
My first attempt at reshuffling 'Latin tunics' gave me 'lunatics' and a word for the female organ with a small 'i' left over. Anagrams aside, the only item of apparel I can think of, beginning with 'ins', is 'insoles'. If that is correct, my whole complaint about the need-to-solve-a-very-complex-anagram-before-even-beginning-to-understand-the-clue is shot down and can be easily dismissed.
Just in case 'insoles' is correct then I'll be looking for the last (3) letters to start a two word title of a book recently made into a musical about barricaded frogs.

Hi ~j~,
<>
I guess you're right << you've been spending far too much time in those anagram threads >>
My *Not to be worn with* was simply a means of linking to Moleskins, so the anagram is found wholly from *Latin tunics*
* ^innately^ not worn with Latin tunics * would have be a better clue

are you absolutely sure about this six7s ?
if so is it one word or more than one word ?

<< are you absolutely sure about this six7s ? >>
Yes even MS Word recognises it
<< if so is it one word or more than one word ? >>
One word,
four syllables,
loosely related to *innate* <<=== this is NOT a cryptic clue
i , n , s , _ , _ , _ , _ , _ , _ , _ , _ .

*wondering... all this confusion... was it something I ate... or drank?*

>> ..was it something I ate... or drank? <<
Probably, but not necessarily within recent memory !
insta-clutin: As in, "We are going to be insta-clutin new rules!"
instanticul
instantclui
instalcuint
insulatinct: As in "Vee are insulatinct der attinct."
Believe me, I tried and can't find a word that works, even knowing the first three letters. My hat is off to your multi-tasking mind, and your ability to juggle that many permutations.
peace

My sentiments exactly ~j~...
Well done Kea, you've out-flummoxed a flummoxer
All I can think of is Alabaster, which at least starts with *al* and 'some of us can see', but for the life of me I can't see how this (or anything ) ties in with *after the manner of to tack right*
