I tried to install linux Zenwalk onto my laptop and I now have no operating system at all! I thought i'd done everything right, but apparently "autopartition" does not quite mean what it says. Anyone out there interested in linux etc?

Before you panic the auto partition probably did work but somewhere along the way you have lost your root partition (basically the firt bit of your HD that points to the rest)
I've not used Zenwalk but assuming it works like most other installs just make sure you install the boot manager to the root partition and hopefully all should be OK
