Thanks for putting me straight with the chunk of the rulebook you quote. I'm afraid I thought it would be obvious that I was talking to you as it was the first post on that thread for 6 weeks plus. Now i've seen the rules I know better. Thanks.
I wanted you to read the sentence you mention again. It makes sense to me and so you question 'Tell me...' is redundunt. Do you agree?

Let's take the statement "when you live in London, and work in finance (you know, the one thing Britain does better than anywhere else and which generates a high proportion of GDP for this country)"
Point one - I do not live in London
Point two - I do not work in finance
How am I to know 'the one thing Britain does better than anywhere else and which generates a high proportion of GDP for this country' unless I accept Runner's biased view
I could be implied that 'finance' is the only thing that Britain does better than anyone else.
I don't happen to agree in general with the statements that Runner was making. My posting was intended to ask him to think again about what he had said.
Since, as you say, six weeks have elapsed I assume that he is still thinking.
Now what was the point that you were trying to make with your blunt comment 'Read this again'

I wanted you to read the sentence again because I thought you had misunderstood it. I still think you have. Or maybe you are trying to be facetious?
He's giving his opinion. How do you know how it is biased? Do you even know what biased means? Perhaps you meant one-sided. In which case, as an opinion, it is perfectly acceptable.
This is H2G2, not the Reuters newsfeed.
And don't say 'pardon.' It's common....
