So my third and final year of nurse training is drawing to a close
I passed numeracy first sitting And my patient group directive exam(medication)
And now I'm about to start my 12 week management placement on a forensic community nursing group and I'm a bit nervous...
I've never really thought about forensic nursing.... but at least it's not secure setting so should be low risk, I have been offered a job at Calderstones (mersycare nhs trust) but I don't think it would be right for me
Also starting the serious job hunting
Mum told me about a nurse job on fair isle which apart from being way above my skill level (I think mums a bit proud I'll be qualified soon) is also very remote and miles and miles away
Maybe in a year or ten.... or twenty....
2 of my cohort of learning disabilities nurses have got jobs in local surgery wards Which eather shows that our training is good and diverse or they really need the nurses I am nervous about the whole qualifying thing but also sort of looking forward to it and thinking about training to be a nurse prescriber in the community setting eventually....
One last assignment to complete and placement starts in may
