Have you read A704512 - Drag Queens ?

Thanks, Yes I read it.
One of the problems is that the subject covers such a wide range of activities and behaviours where would you stop.
Drag, Ts, Tv, Cd and so on , a minefield.
Cd is kind of my area of " interest " so it what I wrote about.

so what's the difference between CD and TV then?

Tv's tend to go for accurate impersonation ( more realistic than drag queens, which tends to be sequins etc ). Taking on a female persona including a femme name etc.
Cd is more temporary, using lingere etc for an erotic experiance or using clothes shoes stockings etc ) in a fetishistic way or to enhance an erotic experiance. Also used in D/s type play where the clothes are more symbloic than anything else, such as playing the maid etc.
Kind of, Difficult to explain really!
Don't blame me i'm just odd!!!!!

That makes sense as a definition. Perhaps you should include something like this at the start of your entry? And link to the Drag Queens entry, of course.

It might also be worth linking to A412570 - Descriptors for Sexual Minorities

your right, of course.
I did take some real loose definitions out as its very much under development, this was because the article Trans-sexuality in etc was a lot more learned than mine, and also this could grow like topsey if I'm not careful.

Thing is, according to the dictionary, crossdressing is simply "To dress in the clothing characteristic of the opposite sex", so it's more of a blanket term that includes drag queens, panto, transvestites, fancy dress, crossdressing as a fetish, crossdressing as part of D/s play, and "men's lib". It arguably also includes pre-op transsexuals.

If I were you (and I ain't), I'd write an entry just on one aspect of cross-dressing - perhaps the fetish and D/s side, if that's your area of 'interest'. Trying to cover the whole of cross-dressing could indeed get you an entry that 'grows like topsey'... smiley - winkeye

Topsey is rabbit in a children story.
And she just grew and grew and grew!
See, showing my age now.

There is only one thing worse than being Gosho, and that is not being Gosho

Are you planning to do any more work on your entry Mark, or do you consider it finished? smiley - smiley

Well, you could link to some of the tools of the trade:
A331039 - Leg Waxing

for example. There's other entries on hosiery, nail polish, etc, etc, if you search them out. Though that might turn the entry into a how-to, which might not be what you want... smiley - erm

Probably not in the least bit helpful, but I once went down the pub in a very nice ankle length skirt for a bet.

When you say "1 in 100" are you just referring to people who cross-dress regularly, or are you including people who do it only rarely?

What is crossdressing? My wife often wears trousers and as a matter of fact (to my disappointment) very rarely dresses in a skirt or dress.

No one think's she's odd but if I were to wear a skirt or dress I would certainly get some looks off people and probably a few comments too!.

My wife also wears socks often and hardly ever wears Tights or Stockings. But if I wore tights or stockings I would probably be looked upon as a freak!

Sadly it's society that imposes how we percieve crossdressing.

Where is the rule book that says Men can't wear womens clothes?
