I was going to fully cite this months rant and everything since in theory I have the time to do that. Yeah... In theory. Lost of things work in theory. And indeed that is what the theme of this months rant is! Theories. Now we all remember the CRAHSER (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F97207?thread=427144 ) theory rant and the Medium (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/F97207?thread=312272 ) rant. Also you can see how much darakat didn't use to post (those were the days, when I didn't post I felt a lot more stupid). Anyway were over that now, and I reply as often as possible now. However this has not got us anywhere with our rant! So Theories! Good things: Theories are great. There fantastic! I love them! A good theory is almost as good as a good book and sometimes is contained in several. They have done some fantastic things for us in our time. For example atomic theory has let us be on the edge of killing billions of creatures at a flick of a switch, propaganda theory has let us control the minds of the unwashed masses for centuries, WMD theory the theory that WMD's existed, flat earth theory, creation theory, apartheid theory, the list goes on and on of mankind's greatest achievements. All of them stemmed from some guy who thought a bit more than usual. However theories have done some bad things as well! Bad things: Some theories are weird, stupid and just make no sense. A bad theory is as bad a a dirty magazine and usually have as much content. They have done some pretty dam bad things around the place, here are a few to get your blood boiling: Socialism theory let us get on with each other better, gravity theory stopped us from going up all the time, black hole theory meant that we had a whole new way to get rid of idiots university degrees, evaluation theory, music theory, zero theory the awful list is just continuos! Just watch it when your thinking and think a bit more before you create your theory! I mean just a simple mistake can mean that you get the whole thing back to font! Enjoy the switch.

Hypothesis: Some of your theories do not make testable predictions.

Notice how I make no reference to hypothesis or those theories that are not quite theories? or indeed how its almost impossible to prove a theory right
