Mirrors, you need mirrors.

Shoe shopping requires only knowing the style and size of the same shoe you've been wearing for the past five years.

Glasses shopping is crap. You can't see the glasses unless you get close to the mirror and your head is skewed.

Most stores stock my size, but my mother is a different story. Try finding 11 double narrows. Close to impossible, that is. Book stores are tasty, yes. I don't like the commercial ones, though. That's all we have in our area excepting the used book store. It actually SMELLS like a bookstore unlike Booksamillion or Barnes & Noble.

But used bookstores are wonderful! There's nothing like that nice used-book smell, plus the fact that they inevitably have some sort of animal running around the shop as a mascot of sorts.

Try finding reasonably appealing shoes for wide feet. Try finding any shoes at all for wide feet. They only seem to make shoes in narrow and narrower. Not pretty.

Yes, a small, unattractive Westie.

Isn't finding open-toed shoes horrid? It makes your feet look like...just ick.

My toes are doing quite fine, incredibly enough.

It's probably best that they stay that way.

I would tell you about my toes, but there a comedy routine in themselves. One of them has a big crater in it; when it's bent, bone sticks up at this really weird angle...

My feet are big, lumbering and can bend at 180* and 90*
