Now I know that last time I didn't acutely have a rant. Sorry about that. But here is the list anyway:
23 is a rant on factions in parties
22 is the Environment
21 is about the CRASHER- or Class, Race, Age, Sex, Handicap, Environment, Religion theory and how it effects us all.
20 is what I would do as leader of our nation
19 is about the what I would do if I ran a major religion
18 is about death (work in progress (HD))
17 is about halloween (Cancelled till further notice)
16 is about the misconceptions of magic (theoretically a work in progress (H2G2)
15 is about the inadequacies of various political systems.
14 is a manifesto of sorts of my beliefs.
Todays rant will make up (hopefully) for the total lack of the rant on magic, which I gave up on. Not the any of you really care. Thats what this rant is about. Its not in the increasing list of rants I plan to do (above) but its still has to be done
Do we actually care? Or have feelings? Is it all made up? Is it all just the conspiracy to make it look like there is only one conspiracy? (see http://www.plif.com/archive/wc055.gif ) Is there in, sort and easy terms an answer to any of these questions? This is what this rant is about. The unanswerables.
What we find is that the universe is made into three distinct parts. The first is that which we know, we can test, find out about and make theories on. The next is the that for which we don't know, but might be able to find out. The final part is that which we can't know, ever, it is impossible for our feeble mortal minds to find out these facts, ever. This however does not stop us form trying to find them out. Unfortunately we sometimes come to an answer when we ask these questions. We may actually find out that god exists! Now that may not seem like a problem, but think about it for a second. If you knew for certain that god exists what would you do? Well there is one simple answer to this question and it lies at the bottom of a very damp dark hole on the planet Brontior in the Fragdel Panger system. Well what is it you ask? It is this....
You would die.
Thats what would happen. You know for certain without any doubt that god exists and he is watching you every second of every day of every hour of every week for your entire life. And if thats not enough to make you paranoid get your mind round this... He knows what your thinking as well. Be it "I like toast" or "Is there a god" or "Is paranoia a sin?". How the hell does this guy know this? You don't. All you know is he exists. When someone points this out to you, you suddenly get a feeling something like this...( http://www.justadventure.com/articles/State_of_Adventure_Gaming/Oct-01/headexplodes2.jpg ) I myself came to the conclusion that the human mind cannot actually know that god exists for certain without asking some questions. 1. Who is he? she? it? 2. What does she? he? it? do? 3. How does it do it:? 4. Why? 5. When can I have lunch? The answers to this question are just as unanswerable as the first, and if you know the answer to all the questions you ask what's the point? You are very likely to reach the conclusion (like I did) that there is no point. You know everything therefore you are as good as your going to get, you know everything you will ever know and so forth. In short knowing that god exists without a shadow of a doubt in your mind will mean one thing, your death. QED.
So the human mind cannot know that god exists. Thats probably why we never see the guy about. But we have heard of this ( http://www.plif.com/archive/wc271.gif ) and of course this ( http://www.plif.com/archive/wc264.gif ) and of course we have done this ... well most of us... ( http://www.plif.com/archive/wc258.gif ). Now I am sure your getting strange feelings about what is truth, beauty and of course all those other terribly human emotions that apparently drive us to death. Hang on a second.. .We die anyway. So thus it doesn't matter if this ( http://www.plif.com/archive/wc254.gif ) happens? Well no.
You see it has come to me that the most unanswerable unanswerable is not if they can be answered but it is does anyone care? And for the purposes of this rant thats a definite yes, but a lazy yes. Thats right I am going to say what seems to be the case for the answers that you all want... its this.
Make up your mind, its whatever you chose to believe, does it matter and if it does does it matter that it matters? and so on.
Answer it yourself, don't let others do it for you though. Thats my preach as it where. If you are going to say "I believe Z and Y and therefore X" well that good for you just don't go trying to make other people believe that, sure you can say that "I believe Z and Y and therefor X" and provide a case, but don't go expecting people to suddenly be taken by the light! Jesus as it where does not fill the void, one actually has to believe there is a void to fill! So ner!

You do certainly do the best rants! I appreciated the appropriate picutres there. They really made the rant.
My idea of religion is that anyone can believe what they want as long as they don't try to foist it off on others or hurt people with it, so I totally agree with what you've been saying.
Keep up the good work!
