What's it going to be like in a hundred years?

I think if theres going to be any web-site to still be here in a hundred years time its going to be this. Please note I am holding a lucky charm, a block of wood, a 4 leafed clover and am sure there are no ladders over my head at this time.
Seriously though, a strange thought hit me when I was looking through the front page archive by Rho and SEF. I have seen this before somewhere, and then I realised where I'd seen it before.
If any of you have looked through old newspaper clippings you will see how they're organised going back to the first copy of the newspaper they have. I thought to myself, what will people in a hundred years time think of this web-site. Every word we type could be immortalised in time.
Interesting thought, isn't it?
Our culture, our sayings, our day to day activities. If I eventually have children, (which will involve finding a mother for them first ) what will their grand children make of me? What will they make of our times?
What will they laugh at?
What will they find sad?
And what will they make of these ancient HTML pages, eh?

That's too deep for me. The night in I've had, all I'm sure of is that in 100 years, people will still be turning to each other on what passes for hootoo and saying "what the hell was the Matrix Reloaded all about?"
Or maybe they'll find our Sharpe entry and say "wonder if anyone'll ever finish it ?"

Yeah, I'll have to get round to it soon. I'm actually reading Sharpe's Devil right now, so I should come back in full Sharpe mode
Put forty shillings on the drum, for those who'll volunteer to come...

I liked Sharpe, the books and the TV series but there was 1 glaring fault, Harper was an Ulsterman in the books and waht they did to Sharpe's Gold was unholy

And the "just for TV" episodes were pretty ropey. Sharpe's Mission anyone?

The best was the first series when David Troughtan played Wellington, I know one was Sharpe's Eagle

Would like to take a peek into the world where Paul McGann didn't do his leg in and was the TV Sharpe, and Sean Bean had to struggle on in relative obscurity a few more years - could be a mildly interesting place.
Shouldn't worry about the posterity of h2g2 - just as these days print libraries are being uploaded wholesale onto the web, so I expect web sites of value will be incorporated into whatever-the-next-major-recording-medium-happens-to-be.

I'm afraid I don't know - virtually all I know about Sharpe beyond the blinkin' obvious is that McGann was first choice for the TV series but then broke his leg two days into the shoot.
