What I've been up to lately
Hypatia Posted May 4, 2010
That would work better. I'm thinking I can have someone from upstairs go down just long enough to get it started.

Nice to see you are enjoying yourself, Hyp.
Even if your local rag does suffer from terminal lilitis

No, it's not lilitis. Don't blame yoursefl*!
It's Titivillus! A1049979
*(I didn't purposely misspell that, but considering what I was saying, I couldn't bring myself to correct it.)

Thank you, CZ. I shall pass that knowledge onto my 'friends', not that they will believe that it could be anyone's fault but mine own!

It could be (much) worse. http://www.cracked.com/article_18517_the-7-most-disastrous-typos-all-time.html

I just added a mention to the Titivillus convos about the Wicked Bible.

Hyp, considering the few options you have for advertising, wouldn't good old fashioned photo-copied A4 posters do? Unless there are severe restrictions as to where you can put them up...
Posters are used a lot here in Stockholm, sometimes to an excess, but hey ho, at least the small theatre companies and the likes have a chance of attracting attention without having to pay through their nose (the newspapers here charge a lot for ads).

Just an aside concerning advertisements, Galveston Island, Texas charges merchants a monthly fee (around $5 depending on size) even for signs in their shop windows, even ones that say only "sale".

I loved the typos.
Church secretaries are the source of many, many bad typos. My first childhood editing job was proofreading to avoid incidents such as the following:

Of course, there is nothing you can do if the pastor and the choir director aren't coordinating. Tnen you get:
SERMON TOPIC: "Thou Shalt Not Kill"
SPECIAL MUSIC: "When I See the Blood" by the Youth Choir
Or the one in which the pastor wished loudly that all the liquor in town should be thrown in the river. Then the choir got up and sang (reluctantly, but it was in the bulletin), "Shall We Gather at the River?"
These, too, actually happened. I was there for the first one.

Ti, we do put posters or flyers around town in various places. Perhaps we should expand on what we're doing in that department.
It's all arranged. I'm having the scheduled showing tonight with my fiesta food. Then tomorrow we'll run the film if anyone comes, but no food. I'll have one of my evening people start it and then come back upstairs.
