Well I have got through my first week here without any major disasters!!!...heehee!!!
What a wonderful world this is!!!...I'm afraid I seem to be spending most of my waking hours wandering around in awe!!!...lol
In fact I have become a dedicated lurker!!......heehee!!!

I have also heard from a couple of your friends!!...Mr Loup and The Paladin!!!....I think I am going to really like it here!!!....I have almost forgotten LD already!!!...heehee!!!

I noticed that MM2 had registered but doesn't seem to be around!!!...Has he another name or is he just not bothering coming in???.....I have not spoken to him for ages!!!

The bovine maestro to whom you refer is an h2g2 virgin. It was I who recommended this site to him to continue our insufferable prattlings on behalf of the BBC.

The last I had heard was that he has discovered an internet angling site where he may discuss topics to the tune of 'I once caught one that was THIS big!'

The name of this site eludes me. I hope that it continues to do so.

Dear old Citizen Garru and the Paladin Knight of the Leisure District are a most hearty and informative pair, are they not? With luck, you should also run across the likes of the splendid Romani Angel and kow, the latter being one of h2g2's unofficial lurkers. You would get along famously.

No matter how many times it happens to me, I am never truly comfortable with a scale 4 earthquake when living next to an MoD weapons depot. Fortunately I was at work when the quake struck and was able to increase my cool factor magnificently by remaining in my seat and remarking that George Bush had been reading his map the wrong way around.

In accordance with my usual impeccible sense of timing, the early earthquake of 1990 (ish) that struck Shrewsbury occured at exactly the same time that I had sat down for a good uninterrupted read of the newspaper in the upstairs toilet.

Believe me, when that happens to you, sennakot is excess to requirements.

The nursing profession goes according to plan. I turn up. I maintain an acceptable candour toward my patients and their relatives. I drink gargantuan quantities of coffee. If I am fortunate, everyone gets out alive.

Kudos is an old Greek word meaning acclaim or glory. For the life of me I cannot understand what possessed me to use it.

How unfortunate that you are unable to blaggard the nefarious Masky on a daily basis. Anyone with such dire opinions and bigoted viewpoints deserves everything that they get. I see that he has fled to Phrase of the Day in order to discuss the 'To resuscitate or not to resuscitate' debate with his usual UPPER CASE LACK OF PANACHE.
