spotted your presence in the "what's wrong with the french" thread, and I was just wondering if, like me, you're getting rather bewildered at the way the thread is going and Alec's rather bizarre continuous claims that people "don't get it", despite never saying what it is they don't get. Any thoughts? i thought I'd drop you a line about it as if I mentioned it in that thread, it would probably be lost, or I would be accused of not getting it, or not reading my own posts, or something.
Is there a smiley? Ah, will have to do then...

to be honest with you, I'm not going to post to the thread again- it's not the only place he uses his ludicrous "fr*nch" business, and if it is in fact some kind of big joke, I don't think it'll turn out to be a terribly good one. He 's spent the thread insulting and ridiculing people and ignoring the questions asked of him, and lately he seems convinced that everyone should see something but I'm not entirely sure what. I still check the thread to see if he's any closer to explaining himself, but that's about it.

I notice there was a removed posting on the "what's wrong with alec" thread, which i assume was by Alec- I was just wondering, was it a personal insult, a national sterotype, or one of his "laugh til you get beaten to dewath with a baguette" ""jokes""?

hi...
it was both [of course...] with an added touch of defiance towards the BBC guidelines... he thought he was being clever by starring out the "taboo" reference of the moment in his "joke"... he now got eggs on his face on top of my s...
made my day tho'... well after he was modded obviously...
i don't mind jokes... the visitor's one made me laugh because it was so surrealist and it was not meant with malice... i mean if alec's jokes were like that i would even have contributed with a few gems myself...
i'm not a saint and i make bad jokes as well... but at least if someone is offended i have the decency to apologise instead of telling them that they don't get it etc...
he still hasn't answered most of our points anyway... i was rather surprised when one of his fans actually congratulated him [on his space] for making his thread more light hearted or something like that... err how?!... it's certainly not thanks to him that the thread hasn't turned into another american bashing one because of his continuous posting of offending comments...
still.. today the day finished better than it started...
talk soon...

yeah, I've pretty much given up on a "what's wrong with eating horses" explanation. His being modferated is great fun though.

yep... especially as it's not long after he found rather amusing that starbirth and another researcher have been moderated for mentioning certain news...
there is a justice after all...
i'm sure he thought he could get away with it _again_ ... it's going to be a shock for him... tho' he might go into the "nobody understands me" mode...
should be interesting to watch...

"should be interesting to watch..."
yes, I've been quite enjoying my intermittent lurking, if only to see you and JA giving Alec the disrespect he deserves.

"i _almost_ feel sorry for the guy..."
you mean in the same way that I'm _almost_ an arthritic alsatian with one eye?

naaaaah.. i wished he apologised so that i wouldn't have to be so hard on him... i don't like being nasty to people... that reminds me too much of some situations on my old site...
talking about my old site... i think the new researcher i'm replying on the asylum seekers issue sounds very much like an old nemesis of mine... even his way of belittling everything [and his dislike of asylum seekers] reminds me of him to the T...
luckily enough i found some info on the BBC news site about what he exaggerated... i will post the links during the weekend...

I did ilke the definition of "Bogus Asylum Seeker Terrorists" to refer to some people who were released without charge, and also I don't remember them being asylum seekers- I just remember them being referred to as "of north african origin" (Algerian, I believe)

yep... classic manipulation of facts... and of course millions of people have seen this "information" on TV... he doesn't seem to know about the BBC news site yet... i can't post the links tonight unfortunately i can only have more PC access time saturday... but i will make a point to copy some of the info and post them tomorrow...
