Executive Orders.
This one is (I think) really by Tom Clancy. A nice thick book with a strong plot - so for me an ideal holiday read on the Isle of Lewis. The "love" scenes are a bit much - but then the whole plot is a bit over the top. Contrasts nicely with the setting in which I read it - overlooking Loch Erisort.
The Hero's Walk.
This is by Anita Rau Badami. I've read at least one other of hers. I enjoy novels set outside the west. This one is an "East meets west" plot (a common one) but is no less enjoyable for all that - some lovely light touches - a slow read after Clancy!
Deep Six.
By Clive Cussler is back to the unbelievable hero genre - this time featuring Dirk Pitt. A good fun book - I like a good few lighter reads and this qualifies.
