All Panto's have to have a custard pie scene or it's just not panto!

Fancy meeting you here! Two entries for Pantomimes eh? Wonder if that's right!

I take it you enjoy the custard pie scenes then? Especially after what you did with that wand! Time to get your own back?

I like making the custard pies - They get bigger and more custardy every night

Oh yeah? That was a bit of a devilish stare! . How exactly do you make panto-custard pies then . You never know, I may need one at short notice!

There's a special foam you buy from joke/costume shops and you have to shake it for 2 minutes according to the instructions - So I usually shake it for about 10 which really makes it foam!

And is there an art to throwing them for maximum comic effect and without losing too much of the topping!

In panto you don't through them, you slap them into people's faces so if you get enough foam on there then it completely covers their heads and makes a wide splatter pattern over the stage - the audience love it!

Or a breakable plates routine. Louder but less squishy than pies.

Suggest that if you throw them at work it is not near anything electrical as the foam turns to water very quickly!

Plastic lemons? Someone get through a lot of pancakes? I've been thinking of some kind of spring loaded try for the computer room, then maybe I won't get *anyone* interrupting my daytime surfing .

Honestly, us Aussies tend to like British comedy, and hence panto. I am not sure why, maybe because we let any pommie into the country, and they interbred with us, and we now have the pommie humour gene in us. Ah well, it could be worse (don't know how though).

So do you have pantos in Oz or do you just export your awful actors over here to appear in and ruin ours?

There are a fair number of amatuer and professional panto productions, but 90% of them are based on British pantos.

*stops throwing tomatoes* Ok, I will behave myself.
