What do you reckon about this? I posted an extract from something called 'General William Booth Enters into Heaven' (by someone called Vachel Lindsay) on the pome thread tonight and it's been referred to the hosts.

The quote was

Hallelujah! It was queer to see
Bull-necked convicts with that land make free.
Loons with trumpets blowed a blare, blare, blare
On, on upward thro’ the golden air!

Can you see any reason for referring that? Perhaps we're not allowed to use the word 'queer' any more. If so, it's what my daughters would call 'gay'.

BTW, did you see that thread called 'One step removed' a couple of weeks back? I thought it might be interesting, but no-one's taken it up, and the originator immediately disappeared.

Loks like your query re the pome has been answered today. Did you do the HTTP thing and miss a stroke or something?
Hadn't seen the 'One Step' post, it could be a goer. I'll post something and see if we can revive it. (as if we need yet another game!)
Strange how people pop up for a single post and then disappear, never to be seen again. Maybe it's all the same person assuming different identities....weee-oo weee-oo weee-oo, spooky huh?
I shall be in and out today, I'm half-heartedly trying to catch up on work couldn't be bothered to do in the earlier part of the week. Trouble is procrastination rules at present - God I need a holiday in the sun Roll on the end of May!

I have to go out and do some catching up, too, so will be on my reluctant way very shortly.
I don't think the HTTP thing is the answer - in fact, I'm sure it's not. Every time we use that we set up what they call an Unsuitable/Broken URL. They remove it when reinstating a post just to try and save face. Crazy!
A holiday would be good. I might get one in August if I'm lucky.
