h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

My boyfriend finds it somewhat disturbing that I talk to my parents everyday. He hasn't said anything like that, but I can tell he sort of thinks it. I will admit, that while my mother does call too much, and often times forgets why she called, and calls when I am trying to work, sleep, eat, etc., if I don't hear from her all day, I will usually give my parents a call in the evening.

Now, I think it is odd that my boyfriend only talks to his parents about every three weeks, and usually he is the one doing the calling. It seems odd to me that his parents don't want to know what he is doing more often than that.

One factor I'm sure is that I only live 30 minutes from my parents and he lives over 2 hours from his parents. But really, that doesn't affect the phone call situation that much. None of this is that big of a deal, I suppose, but I do spend a lot more time with my parents than he spends with his, and I could see the potential for that to get annoying for him. He will probably end up spending quite a bit of time with my folks if he wants to be with me, so I hope it will all be ok.

Now I will say that when my mother calls five times in a day to keep telling me unimportant things that she forgot to mention in the first place, I sometimes wish we only talked every three weeks.
