Ashington Blyth & Tyne line
Reality Manipulator Started conversation Sep 8, 2007
I have signed a petition for the Ashington Blyth and Tyne railway line to be opened. The Ashington, Blyth and Tyne area have no railway links. The railway stations in these areas have been closed for over 40 years. The petition is to ask for the re-introduction of the passenger rail services on the Ashington Blyth & Tyne line which is a fully maintained mostly double tracked line used by just a few freight trains a day. The line should be used to introduce rail services between Ashington, Bedlington and Newcastle, which would provide considerable regenerative benefits to South East Northumberland.
Here is where to sign the petition: http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/ABTreopening/
