Sorry dude, but Eldar are much better. After 15 fights with my Eldar against several different Tau armies, i can safly say, Tau, whil being terribly nce people with some nice guns, get hammerd by the briliance of the Eldar 12 out of 15 times.

While I admit that the Eldar, when played competently (as with any army) will stand a large chance of victory, the Tau are fully capable of handling their own quite well.
Our tanks cannot match your all-out speed, but we can outrun you when it comes to shooting.
We cannot match your grace in close combat, but a Pulse Rifle has a beauty all of its own.
Oh, and by the way, <./>www.advancedtautactica.com</.>
Better start studying. The Tau are on the Rise, and though we were made by you, we shall eclipse you soon.

Oh dear the Tau... where do i even begin... apart from fish faces..
Seriously the Eldar are better i mean lets be honest you can harp on about what they have in a normal game but lets look at the big picture and throw the new appocalypse rules and forge world rules into it... Yeah the tau do have some pritty cool air vehciles now... but the eldar have many many more... not to mention super heavy tanks that are on par with the baneblade. Now lets be honest here a baneblade could punish a tau forces so if its on par you kind of get the picture here.
Also the Avatar... some how i dont think the tau with their rubbish hand to hand combat ability could fair too well when he gets up close, same for quite alot of the eldar combat units could easily overwhelm the tau when they get up close, like the skriking scorpians and oh the shining spears on their jet bikes could easily get up close very quickly and crack open a few tau heads.
Now as for the whole debate of Tau weaponry being superiour. I dont think so their is a reason for the eldar guardians shuriken catapult not being able to match up to the taus 30" paulse rifles.. yeah ok there is a range difference but you have completely overlooked the fact that its got a twelve inch range and also applies to the rapid fire rule that allows 2X shots at a maximum range of 12" hmm i think taking a few casualties in order to get close enough to let out a double volly of shots could make things even.
Not to mention Armour superiority of the eldar ive only noticed the fire prism being mentioned in a previous post... yeah completly overlooking War walkers and wraithlords... War walkers being one of my favorite eldar units because they are just walking gun batteries with 60" bright lances and the ever so useful scatter lazer. Also the wraithlord is easily an equivilant to the space marine dreadnaught i say this because of its hand to hand combat ability not to mention having again a 60" bright lance fixed upon its shoulder.
I dont think ill mention the capabilities of the Eldars Farseerers or the seer council as i dont belive the tau etherals are a worth equivilant to them in the slightest.
To be honest i could move onto ripping the tau apart being a former Eldar and Tau collector i seemed to have a much higher lose rate when playing as the tau, they look impressive and can hold their own in a shoot out most of the time its just when they engage into combat EVEN if they have the kroot on side im afriad their doomed from that point on. Especially when your up against a Chaos Marines khorne army... little chance at all if they get up close its just like lambs to the slaughter.
