Sesame St v Teletubbies
ReapeR (Weevium Mortus Eradicus) Started conversation May 20, 1999
The ultimate question (well ok so it's miles off but it sounds impresive)
Whose better Sesame Street or Teletubbies?
Personaly I'd bet on Sesame St, but that's only 'cos I'm not in when the Tubbies are on.
Teletubies only have 4 characters (yes there not real) and the street have millions (ok so I was young last time I saw it) and they've got (drum roll please) The Cookey Monster.
Nothing in the Teletubbies can beat the Cookey monster so there. And we've got the Count and Oscar the Grouch, both cool people.

Ok so Ernie is a bit soppy but he's nothing compared to those I cannot speak of.

I was *ill* the other day and so I couldn't go to college. I just happened to catch Sesame st, I was so upset, they've 'modernised' the credits & opening song. It just isn't as good as it was when I was small. It still beats the c**p out Teletubbies. Cookie monster rules!
..."No it can not be, it is, it's a cookie tree'...
During a recent survey in one of our productive theatre studies classes there was a unanimous (spelling?) decision that Button Moon was the best kids program in the world!

If you're male and at least old enough to be hitting puberty, they both suck horses genitals!

Yeah, but if your just about to hit 20 and are starting to remember "the good old days" (scary I know) then you think of how good it used to be, and anyway cookie monster is only an early Homer "COOKIES!!! Ughmcunchmumgargumch!", ahh we have so much in common

Cookie Monster Posted Oct 15, 1999
In common, Mr ReapeR, do we indeed?
Actually, I have never STOLEN cookies in my life!
Thanks for the glowing compliments though, and of
course Sesame St. is better than Teletubbies!

AHHHHHHHHGH! COOKIE MONSTER!!
*Sprints out of the room at full speed sending crumbs flying in all directions*
*pops his head round the corner*
RULE BRITANNIA!!!

Rule Britannia,
Britannia rule the sea,
but stay away from Sesame St
and stay away from me!
Umm, with all those crumbs flying around, I don't think
it's very nice to put the blame on Phil, ReapeR. Maybe
you should watch some reruns of Sesame Street so you
can learn how to be a nicer Reaper!

Rule Britannia,
Three monkeys on a stick
One fell down and
Paralysed his dic- ......anyway (ahem) sorry about that - couldn't resist it.
The teletubbies are the best for two reasons:
1) The Teletubbies have Dipsy who is the hoopiest frood who ever lived. He has a cool hat too. He is the anthropomorphic personification of Jay-Kay from Jamiroquai.
2) Seasame Street is AMERICAN which automatically makes it inferior. 'Nuff said. (there, that should spark off some controversy)
Tobermory Rulz!

Underground, overground, wombling free,
The wombles of Wimbledon Common are we.
Making good use of the things that we find...
Things that the everyday folk leave behind!
Quite honestly, I think the wombles were the BEST!
Long live Uncle Bulgaria!

Underground, overground, Shambling free,
The Shamblers of Wimbledon common are we.
Making good use of the things that we find,
Torsos and ribcages, giblets and spines.
Wrong - all wrong
Ian The Moose Posted Oct 22, 1999
I have two words for the lot of you - THE FLUMPS. Nothing has ever come close.
Wrong - all wrong
TechnicolorYawn (Patron Saint of the Morally Moribund) Posted Oct 23, 1999
Ah, but can you remember their names?
The only one I can remember is Pootle, who wore the bobble-hat.

ReapeR (Weevium Mortus Eradicus) Posted Oct 24, 1999
I don't think you under stand Cookie Monster, EVERY thing is Phil's fault. And you don't know what the crumbs are, they could be bread crumbs, honest
Sorry about the rule Britannia, wrong thread!
The wombels are great, shame they never had the Shamblers of Wimbledon common on though.
Anyone remember Galaxy High?
And I am nice, I just have a thing about food. I see, I eat. And I'm still a skinny runt!
Urrm, you aren't missing any more cookies are you? It's just that I was sleep walking last night and I found crumbs every where.
Wrong - all wrong
Ian The Moose Posted Oct 25, 1999
Nope I can't remember any of the others either but do you remember other classics like Button Moon and of course the one, the only; Pidgeon Street! The songs they had were so cool! Long Distance Clara! And the pidgeons used to go Boo! Classic. Never mind the bloody Teletubbies, Pidgeon Street didn't need child psychologists to hit the audience nail right on the head. I have never met anyone who watched Pidgeon Street and failed to like it.
Wrong - all wrong
Cookie Monster Posted Oct 28, 1999
Breadcrumbs huh? Hmmm maybe you're right...
Maybe the pidgeon's stole the cookies, maybe I left them
out and Wellington picked them up...
But hey, I've got some more, so if you're really hungry...
... have some!
Take a chokky fish as well!
And warn Phil that I'll be watching him!
LUUV, the monster!
Wrong - all wrong
