Hi Delicia, just poppin along to your uspace to say Hi and hello. I saw in a posting that you're East German and I wanted to let you know that the Chaps Clunb is sort of rooted in a between the wars (I and II) era and as a consequence it's full of British types and there is some talk about history.

For clarity we harbour no animosity against our European friends but some of the Role Playing might for the uninitiated be seen as a little "close to the knuckle" (to use a British phrase). No offense is intended and it's all a bit of a parody.

I've really enjoyed your involvement with the chaps and I hope you feel you're having fun so that you can stay with us. If anything happens that might cause you to raise your eyebrows let me know on this thread and we can talk about it.

I've been on HooToo for a while now and the relationship between the researchers is precious to me so feel free to contact me if anything bothers you.

perfectly rippin' of you to come along. I've always enjoyed the Chaps talk as an endearingly dusty variety of British English, and i was no end thrilled coming upon this thread, what with some of you chaps being real masters of the lingo.
I'm well aware of the historical context, it goes with the game, and i sincerely hope you won't let my presence cramp your style the least bit. If i should feel somebody's standin' on my toes i'll yelp, but i honestly can't see that will happen. It's all give and take and bad language, and absolutely no animosity behind it, and i've enjoyed myself immensely!

Perfectly toppin' of you to inquire 'bout my health, dear old mangelwurzel. Everythin' under control, albeit tad busy, bein' on a spud huntin' safari. Meanin' ter say I'm a research scientist workin' with the old Solanum tuberosum and May to July is my busy time. Also the occasional Brassica napus and student gettin' in the way of serious entertainment. But i ain't gone from The Club, no such hope, oh no! Tally ho!
