what am i talking about: I want to make an all-inclusive guide to alternative rock, the genre of rock and roll that emerged in the early 90's. being a big fan of this genre, i know it won't be too difficult, and i'm majoring in journalism in college (well, will be in august), so this is perfect practice.

I want to include when alt. rock emerged, what caused it to emerge, the impact it had on society, some detailed examples of different influential bands within the genre, the diversity of music within the genre, and the decline of the genre, and why it declined, and how it has affected modern music.
