Nobody ever did look at this smiley - sadface but it strikes me as factual and reasonably well written.

Perhaps it should be moved to Peer Review if it is considered to be ready to go, or Flea Market so that somebody can pick it up if polishing is required?

The author is a 9 month Elvis.

My thought was Peer Review - though I found it a little - er - pedestrian. Informative, certainly.

Jodan - I trust you mean to say 'I think it should go to the Flea Market' - you are sounding the teensiest bit bossy here. (Which is rich, coming from me, I know...)

All any of us can do is give our subjective opinions.

Did I sound bossy? I apologize, but I THINK we can't rightfully put it in PR without his consent. I don't THINK you're bossy smiley - ermsmiley - laugh

Not a problem! A little explanation goes a long way! smiley - ok

I am not sure what the situation is with putting entries into PR without the Author's consent. Technically one can, of course, so it is a question of nettiquette - but then the author is not actually here to ask.

There is also the problem that the Author is not here to make changes to the entry - so it either has to be Scouted on an as-is basis, or else not scouted at all.

Do any other Miners know what the situation is about Elvis-entries and PR in general, or have comments on this one in particular?

This is specifically what the flea market is there for.

Jodan, I do know that, I have been here a while, and know most of the ropes, and where an awful lot of the bodies are hidden.

The question I asked was about whether there is a site convention about putting Elvis-entries into PR, not about what one does with good entries written by people who have left.

The reason I asked about PR is because I wanted to know about PR.

If I had wanted to know about Elvis-entries I would have worded the question appropriately.

Tonsil Revenge (PG)

I just read it.
It looks like a plagiarized encyclopedia entry.

Some of it is so general it applies to nothing. And some of it is just plain wrong.

Not much can be done with it without a rewriting so thorough that one would be better off starting from scratch.

Just my opinion.

"It looks like a plagiarized encyclopedia entry."

That might explain why my eyes glazed over and my windscreen washers said 'Edited Guide' 'Edited Guide' 'Edited Guide' 'Edited Guide'.

Since the author is no longer here, and since, however worthy it does not sparkle, I second (or is it third) the Flea Market for this one.

I'll let Anna know.

Ben
