A Conversation for Talking Point: February

my February

Well, being born and still living in Düsseldorf February is often the month when we celebrate Carnival. Even though I don't.... - too much alcohol is being drunk, people trying to be funny and happy just for that occasion and both is not just what I like.

But for me the month has another meaning anyway, because my second son was born in February, so this is one of three special month for me (I do have 3 chrildren)

And at least you know that the winter won't last that long anymore, days are longer and spring is ahead (though even that is not my favourite time, I love the autumn).

Nothing against February [i]per se[i/] until this year.........
However, I have to admit a personal distaste for February 2008 already.
On Feb 13th I am booked to go into hospital for hip replacement surgery which has already been cancelled/postponed (by the local hospital, NOT by my choosing!) FOUR TIMES in the last two months ........

AND: on the same date, my wife has announced her intention to LEAVE me - barely a week before our 28th Anniversary.

****Y February?? You can shove it where the sun don't shine, mate .....smiley - wah

Mate, that's a shocker of a story.
