there is a reason that they burst into popularity with take on me.

the guy who signed them realised that they were relatively good looking and talented, and so gave the video makers the instructions to take as long as was necessary to make a realy good job of the video.

I don't think many people would dispute the quality of the video, do you?

I wouldn't dispute the quality, but I didn't like it. Thought it was stupid. And I was probably of the age that it was aimed at.

I just picked up Lifelines a couple of weeks ago. Scoundrel Days was always one of my fave albums.

Hmmm. Must have been 1985 or 86 at Kings Hall, Belfast. Yes they were quite good live. The support band was local group Ghost of an American Airman, who had this one song that the chorus went Ah1, aha, aha, aha. Wonder why they were chosen to do the warm up then.
