Hmm. I'm afraid the only thing I would have suggested was contacting his agent, but if they're unwilling I'm not sure what you could do next.

Can I ask what you are planning? Or is it 'Top Secret'? smiley - biggrin

An old lady who has cancer and is very ill wishes to talk to him for a minute or two on phone , that's all and they have been too mean so far that they have refused to do so. Well I can tell you more about this if you want. We have been looking for him for months, it's hard to believe, but it's true. I personally liked "Terrence Hardiman" too much, he seemed so kind to me but now I feel quite different.

It's possible his agents haven't told him about the request, it happens sometimes. Agents think they're 'protecting' their client, when often the client would be all too happy to help. I know a couple of actors who've discovered, for example, that their agent hasn't put them forward for work, or has turned down work on the grounds that 'that's not what our client does', when the actor in question would have loved to do something different. Not quite the same situation, but I'm sure you get my drift.

I don't have any connection to him, so I'm afraid I can't really offer anything other than my best wishes for your friend. I wish you luck in finding him.

Jims

You are quite right that sometimes "agents" do not tell their clients about some requests in order to "protect" them! But in this case I believe, Mr Terrence Hardiman has got the messages. We first phoned and e-mailed his agent then when we recieved no cooperation we phoned himself, We did not want to intrude into Mr. Hardiman's private sphere, that's the reason We contacted the agent first, but when we phoned himself, he did not listen to us for even 5 seconds, he just hung up!
That was not the manner we expected from a real man with a heart. Someone is dying, her only wish is to talk to him for a minute or two by phone!!! No harm would come to anyone by talking to an ill dying person by phone in another country!!! I just wanted to convience myself somehow that it was not probably Mr Hardiman's fault, Oh , No he is a good man, Perhaps his agent had persuaded him not to talk to us! I don't know, But he could not possibly have understood how his impolite and unexpected manner deeply affected 2 people.
(Well, Sorry for my bad English), We thought he was a real man of value , he seemed so, but as you know well of two great quotes that the price of greatness is responsibility and care and The true measure of a good man is how he treats those that can do nothing for him. What I was intending to discuss with him was so important, he refused, He had the right but its good that he understands what he did , was not expected from a real artist, a real artist measures everything by his heart! I still hope I am mistaken. I hope he will finally understands how much he can be helpful by just picking up the phone and phone her and talk to her for a few minutes, that's all.
Jacqueline

By the way, I do apologise that I used some words which were not quite polite, my apologis to readers, Mr Hardiman and everyone! I did not mean to insult, it's just because I was/am so angry.
Take care

Hi,
I think you would do better if you wrote a letter to Mr Hardiman. I wrote a letter to him in 1997 and received a lengthy, most generous letter back. He may have moved since 1997, but if you'd like to give it a go give me your email address and I'll email it to you. (Don't want to leave it posted on this site for everyone to hassle the poor man!)
Cheers for now,
Paul

PS Would love to get hold of the album "Au Cafe Candide" recorded by Angela Richards on the programme. Any ideas??
