Note to self:
When pusruing the bottom of a plate of mexican cuisine, always stop right about ten minutes before the point when you feel satisfied. Otherwise you will end up feeling as stuffed as a chili relleno...

chile relleno...great stuff smiley - bigeyes. we have a mexican restaurant at the front of our neighborhood with the best food. i find myself waddling out of there more often than my waste line needs, just can't seem to leave the food sitting there on my plate smiley - winkeye.

I keep trying new places, mostly in Birmingham's homewood/southside area, but some around Hoover where I work. Sabor Tropical and sabot latino are my favorites so far.

I know Demetri's, never been there though. And definately try one of the Sabors, they have $1 marguerita specials, too. One location has it Wednesday and the other thursday..I can't remember which is which. If you worked near Denetri's then you must also have tried Zoe's?

WOW!, i can't believe it's been 5 days since i was over here, this darn month is flying by, month heck! year! it is july, must, believe it or not, begin doing layaway's for christmas. with 4 teenagers to buy for and then everyone else if i don't get an early start i end up rushing around like crazy at the last minute smiley - winkeye.
.
.
we went to smith lake for the 4th and decided bbq'd ribs would be best. those turned out to be the best ribs i ever ate. i don't know if they were that good or if i was just that delirious from the heat smiley - laugh. sounds crazy but 'john boy and billy's' grilling sauce (hot and spicy) does wonders on a grill smiley - smiley.

My roomate and I took our kayaks to Oak Mtn lake on the 4th. It was wonderful. I'm not much of a rib person, but for steaks or burgers I like Dales or Moores.smiley - biggrin
