Tradgically a career ruined by greed and a life cut short by a plane crash. An exception sports star that burnt out and is gone.

Blimey, DD - he's hardly cold! This was quick off the mark indeed.
Nicely written entry as usual. Nothing to comment on the content - just a couple of typos.
emminated > emanated
he resigned > He resigned

Thanks ZSF, the worse thing about this is the gut was 6 day younger than me. An top sportsman. Who made his own mistakes whereas I was forced out of my first choice sport by injury.
I'll get on those changes. As you can tell I did kinda rush it.

This should be recommendable now. Spotted another typo, though.
He lead the national team - lead > led.
Anyone else have any comments?

Loved this entry. Been following South African news rather closely myself, so of course I've heard a lot about Hanse, but was never fully sure of the entire story. This entry answered a lot of my questions. Well done!
Only things I have to point out are:
a Afrikaner family --> An Afrikaner family (nitpicky, I know);
He never swerved from this position of support, until in 1998 Cronje admitted he had been approached to throw a one off international at Bombay in December 1996, the bookmakers had offered him and the team a quarter of a million US dollars to do so.
Another nitpicky one, but perhaps a ";" after 1996 would make it less of a run on sentence?
Other than those two things - I loved it

Thank you I'm very proud. As you should be... Again, excellent article
Next time the subject comes up with my SO, I can discourse intelligently
or at least try to.

Nice article.
A few typos:
Under 'His Rising Star': the Universtiy of Orange Free State - University
In the first one day match he acheive - achieved
Under 'Fallen Hero but there are few instances like this are rare outside of the sub-contentient - continent (I assume) and either 'there are few instances like this outside...' or 'instances like this are rare outside...'.

I thought I saw those and when I went back looking for them, I couldn't find them
Good thing someone's awake
