And so it begins (PC)

But how to solve the problem permanently? I have some relatives that are similarily difficult, and kept finding excuses to get out of potetially difficult situations for years. Sometimes it worked, sometimes not. The point is: it takes so much time and energy just thinking how to resolve current problems and the next ones that are already just lurking around the corner, it can dominate your life, and that's just not worth it. I don't know if this might work in your case, but I've had relatives that behaved like stalkers, and the only way to make them stop was to cut off any contact with them. It was a drastic and radical step, but, after much drama on their side, it finally worked out OK, and I have peace now. And the joke is: People have starting coming forward and telling me that I've, in fact, taken a great burden off their shoulders by making the first step.
Just because the person who's giving you crap is related to you, doesn't mean you have to take it. On the contrary.
I wish you lots of !

Hi PhilFogg. Thank you so much for coming by with that insight. You've made a good point about spending time and energy trying to resolve issues that aren't worth the effort.
Thanks for the well wishes after my , too! I'm going to come around and visit your space here as well.
