See, I liked all of those, squash, eggplant, onions, asparagus and kidney beans, as well as mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and a whole heap of other stuff.
Adore sundried tomatoes and feta cheese
BUT. I don't do sprouts! Or olives. Or anchovies. Or capers.
Every now and then I have some, just to check. Yup, still don't like that....

I don't eat anchovies for the obvious reason, but still I never liked them at all, anyway. Capers are OK in pasta sauce and stuff like that, though I tend to use them in moderation because I don't like my food to taste really salty. I love olives though, black or green.
I do like sun-dried tomatoes. And I certainly don't avoid feta on account of the taste!
I didn't mind broccoli or cauliflower as a kid, as long as they were cooked. I'll eat either cooked or raw nowadays.
The only holdovers from childhood of things I won't eat are radishes, raw mushrooms, raw spinach, and orange sauce (the stuff Chinese restaurants do). Then there are things I never had until I was an adult and don't like anyway. Arugula, for example.

you must have been talking about someone else... I'm a Brit on the block too!!
PC - that lemmon-pepper-mill sounds fab. I love that sort of thing.

I guess I don't count as Brit - I'm imported. Have been here for 5 years though...

well... I'm not really a "brit" since out of 44 years I've lived there for around 10... and am not there now.
We all balance each other out!

Yay for bubble and squeak! I do love it on boxing day, that and turkey curry is normally made around that time.
