It's tornado season again here around my neck of the woods. Luckily for me, they don't often hit the city, but they get close enough. Some pretty tragic events here in Illinois, and in Indiana and Iowa, today:

I have an aunt who lives near Utica and another in Joliet, fortunately they are safe and well. Will have to see what kind of relief efforts are going on- I've got heaps of clothes and stuff I've been meaning to donate, and have some type O negative blood to spare.
Please keep the injured, and the families and loved ones of those who were killed, in your thoughts and prayers. I'm sure they could use it.

I was outdoors nearby twice during high school when tornados hit nearby, and never cease to be amazed at how much devastation they can wreak so quickly. In one case, I saw an entire school campus flattened in only a minute or two.
My prayers are definitely with the folks out there.

I was asked about 20 times today: where's utica?
Our thoughts are definately with those families, and of my own (who're right here with me safely in Chicago).
