I have returned!
psychocandy-moderation team leader Posted Jan 13, 2004
I wish you did as well, Meg. No worries, though, I'll send you a personal update via hootoo tomorrow when I get home, only trouble is you'll have to wait till next week to read it.
I really must get to bed soon, I have to be up at 5 and I've only allowed myself 6 1/2 hours thus far. Argh... must get onto a different shift which accomodates all of my British *and* American friends....
Catch up with you soon, I hope, Meg? I'll stay up late again next Monday night if nothing else.
Thanks for all of the positive wishes. I can feel them, I really can. The candles on my altar burn brighter every time I log on here. Thank you.
Nighty night and talk soon!
I have returned!

Hi Abbi, I did not sleep well or much last night, but I will try to email you this evening if I'm not too out of it by then. Hope you have a good day and you're not in too much pain.

Hi Abbi, hope you're feeling better today. Hope your hubby is keeping well, too. I'm really wiped out this evening and my knees are killing me, so I'm going to have a bath and try to lie down early. Whenever I say that, my plans usually go awry, though!
I shall write you an email when I get home from work tomorrow! Can't promise it will be anything deep and profound, more likely it'll be inane babble.

Hubby is fine and dandy thank-you
Nothing good to report about my pain level.
Hope you get a restful sleep.

Hiya Psychocandy! I just dropped in here to see some news of you and Krispy. Sounds like you're having problems ... hope everything goes well.

Everything is going all right with Krispy and myself. I'm over my cold, though it's still freezing around here! I've been a bit worried about this and that, but that's nothing unusual.
Krispy has a job interview tomorrow for a much better position, I think it pays better as well. Keep your fingers crossed that goes well, I know he'd be happier there than where he's at.
As for me, just keep fingers crossed that the work keeps accumulating, if I can pile on the extra hours, I'll be fine and dandy!

Thanks, guys. I spoke with Krispy Tuesday evening and he said the interview went well. I'll keep you posted, but it sounds like good news!
As for me, I'm still only getting what overtime I can by hook and crook, sneaking in early and running over a bit at the end of the day. I'm going to need a lot more than this!
How's everyone doing this week? I've been offline the last couple of nights, trying to catch up on my rest.

Hi Abbi!
I spoke with Krispy this evening, and he didn't get the position he interviewed for on Tuesday. He's going to keep trying, though, so keep wishing him luck and keeping fingers crossed that something good comes along soon!
The funniest thing happened today. I recently received an invitation to transfer credit card balances to another card with no interest till July of next year. I jumped on it, and applied, and today received a letter declining my application. I called their office and was told that I was denied because my credit report didn't reflect sufficient credit history and/or credit card usage. I almost wet myself- I've got one card maxed and the second is over half-way there as well... how much credit card usage *is* enough! They referred me to the credit reporting company, who are sending me a free copy of my credit report. I can send this in and my application will be reconsidered. Wish me luck- if I can transfer part or all of my balances to a card which doesn't charge me interest for the next year or so, I can actually start paying some of it off!
Nothing else terribly exciting going on at the moment, just settling in for a quiet evening at home and a good night's rest. Hope everyone is keeping well.

They can give you a hard time about too little activity in fact they want to start charging a service fee when you do not use it!
You should be able to get the card they like it when you have a balance, like you said. I bet your report is off in some way.
Interviewing practice is what I called those experiences - Krispy. I hope it means something better is waiting. It is a real drag looking for work, I hope he keeps his spirits up.

Thank you, Abbi. Looking for work can be very discouraging and really grinds down your confidence. During the year I was laid off, I applied for 116 jobs and interviewed for at least a third of those. Most of them didn't even have the courtesy to call me back. An outright rejection is better than being left hanging.
The hardest part is when you hear back that they've found someone whose experience and qualifications are "better suited" to the position than yours. All you hear is "someone... better".
I know that something good is right around the corner for Krispy, and that once he gets here there will be something good waiting for him as well. I hope it won't take too long, trying to keep things going here on my own has made me feel a real failure. I don't want to fail both of us.
Hopefully when my credit report comes and I can get in touch with the reporting agency and straighten out any inaccuracies, then try again. If they like to see a balance, then I should be able to make them quite happy.
